Mardi Gras King Cake

A traditional Mardi Gras cake made with yeast, cinnamon, and a yummy (and colorful!) lemon glaze. Try not to get the baby!

Ingredients

1 cup warm milk
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons active dry yeast
4 cups Gold Medal™ unbleached all-purpose flour
1 cup unsalted butter, melted
5 egg yolks , beaten
1 teaspoon lemon juice
3 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
2 cups powdered sugar (for the glaze)
2 tablespoon lemon juice (for the glaze)
2 tablespoon water (for the glaze)
Food red, blue, yellow and green coloring (for the glaze)
Poppyseeds (for topping) (optional)
