Well I just had to find that perfect apple cake recipe and they don’t come better than The Dorset apple cake recipe , so when I looked and found this one I was over the moon.
I live in Dorset in England and this cake is one that is such a moist wonderful apple cake with that tart taste from the apples along with the moist sponge is a marriage made in heaven.
These are sold in most cake shops here in Dorset and you can see why,with this recipe you can use any apple variety the sharper tasting ones are the best and you are on to a winner.
Great with that clotted cream or whipped fresh cream, pure heaven whichever one you choose to eat it with.
