We took the red velvet cake we love and gave it a creamy twist. Don’t let the red color fool you: The flavor is all chocolate.

ingredients
- 1 pound milk chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 9 – ounce package chocolate wafer cookies (40 to 45 cookies)
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 4 8 – ounce packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 8 – ounce carton dairy sour cream
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup buttermilk
- 1 1 – ounce bottle red food coloring (2 Tbsp.)
- 4 eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- Chocolate leaves (optional)
