I was looking for a recipe for blackberries as I have a fair few frozen in my freezer, so I was looking for a recipe to be able to use some of them in and I came across this recipe for blackberry pecan streusel pie and thought it looked so good that I am going to give it a go and I thought why not share this recipe too

- 1/3 cup quick-cooking tapioca
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 recipe Pecan Streusel Topping (see recipe below)
Pastry for Single-Crust Pie
ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup butter, cut up, or shortening
- 1/4 – 1/3 cup ice water
Pecan Streusel Topping
ingredients
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup toasted, coarsely chopped pecans
