A really wonderful old fashioned dessert is aa apple brown betty which is a traditional American dessert made from fruit and sweetened crumbs and really wonderful combination of flavours along with the spices .
This dessert is very similar to a cobbler or apple crisp where the apples are baked in a dish with the sweetened crumbs which are then layered together throughout the dish, this dessert is often served with a lemon sauce or whipped cream.
