During the holidays, children love to stay in the kitchen to watch me making our traditional dishes. And because they wanted to do something too, I teach them this simple recipe of choco-mallow-cereal treat bars, which we usually eat for breakfast together with a hot chocolate or milk drink. This treat is also good for on-the-go breakfast or snack.

You just need three ingredients to make this treat. You can also replace chocolate toast crunch cereal we use here with the cinnamon flavor or use some cocoa puffs, cheerios, quaker oat squares, or whichever cereal you prefer.

Ingredients for Choco-Mallow-Cereal Treat Bars

3 tablespoons butter

1 bag or 10 ounce miniature marshmallows

6 cups Chocolate Toast Crunch™ cereal

How to Make Choco-Mallow-Cereal Treat Bars

This recipe is for an 8-inch square pan. Grease pan with cooking spray. Melt butter and marshmallows in a microwave on high heat for 2 minutes; make sure to stir after a minute until the mixture is smooth. After removing in the microwave, combine cereal and mix until they are evenly coated.

Press the cereal mixture in the pan using a spatula. Let it cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting it into squares.
