Chocolate Chip Cream Puffs

These are one of my favourites I really love cream puff eating them and of course making them too so when I came across this chocolate chip version well it was one of those recipes that I had to save and then pass it on to all your fellow bakers to have a go at making them too for family or friends

These little treats are great to have for any time well I would think so any way but yes they would be great for that special tea party or special occasion

3/4 cup water
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3.4 ounces all-purpose flour (about 3/4 cup)
2 large eggs
1 large egg white
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
FILLING:
1 cup half-and-half
1/3 cup granulated sugar, divided
Dash of salt
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 large egg
2 large egg yolks
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup frozen reduced-calorie whipped topping, thawed
GLAZE:
2 tablespoons light-colored corn syrup
1 tablespoon half-and-half
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
