These big cookies–loaded with chocolate chips and nuts–are a customer favorite at Krista’s Kitchen Bakery/Cafe in Portage, Wisconsin. The cookie bakes crisp on the outside, cakey inside.
ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups cake flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 2 12 – ounce packages semisweet chocolate pieces (4 cups total)
- 3 cups chopped pecans or walnuts
