Delicious Candy Cane Sugar Cookies

Here below is a list of the ingredients you will need to make these cookies from the YouTube channel

RECIPE
Makes 4 dozen

For buttermilk*
3/4 cup milk
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup softened butter
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 to 5 tablespoons buttermilk
Red/white candy canes (5-6 small size)

*After making the buttermilk, you only need to use enough to moisten the dough. Approx 3-5 Tbsp. Brush the leftover on top of the cookies before putting them into the oven. If you have even more leftover buttermilk, use it to make yummy pancakes!
