I was looking for that perfect breakfast brunch dish and came across this recipe for a one dish blackberry French toast and was really impressed as I can use up some of those blackberries I have in my freezer and seeing as I have family coming over what butter way than to make them all something delicious for breakfast /brunch that is easy to make but looks so impressive

Perfect for a holiday breakfast or a weekend brunch, this french toast recipe is loaded with tasty, sweet ingredients. Of course, you can always add a little extra sweetness with maple syrup or whipped cream

Makes 8 to 10 servings

1 cup blackberry jam
1 (12-oz.) French bread loaf, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
1 (8-oz.) package 1/3-less-fat cream cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
4 large eggs
2 cups half-and-half
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
Toppings: maple syrup, whipped cream
