Hi Fellow Bakers
There is nothing quite like home baking is there?, I was inspired by my Nan as a young child who taught me the basic recipes that I still love today like Victoria sponge, rock cakes and scones and of course cookies, she was an amazing lady and wonderful cook who would make the most delightful cakes
I would spend many hours in the kitchen with her where the delicious smells of cooking would have me sitting round her kitchen table taking in those awesome smells and listening to her tell be about recipes, it has inspired me to teach my children and Grandchildren to spend time in the kitchen with me as there is nothing better than teaching the next generation to bake, in fact it did inspire me to go on to make this website called Afternoon baking with Grandma from those days with my Nan in the kitchen although I would have named it after my Nan but Grandma sounded better than Nan in the title
Some of the recipes that my Nan taught me are classic recipes that I love passing on to my Children and other people so that they can be enjoyed by everyone and will never be lost
