I really love this desert it is easy to make as it is made in a slow cooker so you can leave it to bake where the bananas and the pineapple will take on that amazing syrupy juice that they are cooked in

The foster dish was created in 1951 by Paul Blangé at Brennan’s in New Orleans,Louisiana.At this time New Orleans was a major hub for the import of bananas from South America. It was named for Richard Foster, the chairman of the New Orleans Crime Commission and a friend of restaurant owner Owen Brennan.
