This is a half recipe that will make enough cookies to make about 5-1cup volume parfaits.
1/3 cup shortening
1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
3/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Food colouring
sprinkles
Sweetened whipped cream or cool whip topping.
