Gluten-Free Lemon Drizzle Cake

What a great cake to make is this gluten free lemon drizzle cake with poppy seeds .. a moist delicious cake that would be so perfect for that afternoon tea party .. a slice of this cake with a cup of tea sounds good to me

I have made drizzle cake a few times but never a gluten free one as it does look good .. a cake that everyone can enjoy can’t be all that bad .. happy baking

• 170g (6oz) butter or dairy-free spread
• 170g (6oz) caster sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 170g (6oz) Doves Farm gluten and wheat-free white self-raising flour blend, sieved( you can use any brand of flour here )
• 1-2 lemons, depending on size
• 1tbsp poppy seeds
• 2 gently heaped tbsp icing sugar
