This pie is certainly delicious I can say as I have made it a few time for my family and friends with amazing results , it is great to make to have after that Sunday roast it just is a homely wonderful dessert that is great served with cream or ice cream and for a warming dessert pouring custard

FOR THE CARAMEL

  • Pate Brisee
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Fine sanding sugar, for sprinkling, optional
  • Vanilla ice cream, for serving
  • Flaky sea salt, for serving, optional
