This pie is outstanding. It reminds me of eating a wonderful flan, that melts in your mouth. You just have to make this, it will make you smile!
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
4 Tablespoons all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon kosher coarse salt
4 eggs (large)
1 cup buttermilk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 stick of butter (4 ounces)
1 pie crust
nutmeg for dusting the top
lemon zest? I think it would be good in this pie, but have not tried it yet…. maybe a teaspoon of zest.
