Apple dumplings are simply wonderful they are that sort of dessert that is ideal for Autumn/Winter as they have that warming feeling about them ..
This dessert always reminds me of my childhood where my Nan would often make apple dumpling for the whole family to enjoy , the smell of them cooking would be pure delight and would always but a smile on every-ones face
What I like about this recipe is the dumplings are cooked in this wonderful sauce that you use to baste the apples from time to time whilst cooking which gives them that wonderful soft texture on the bottom
