A wonderful orange marmalade loaf for you to make that is just perfect to have a slice with that cup of tea in the afternoon .. so it would be great to make if family are coming over as it can be cut into slices ready to go on the plate and any left can be stored whole in an airtight box/tin ..
I love marmalade and in cooking it does add a touch of some thing special to the bake .. of course a good marmalade is always best meaning a one that has big chucks of peel and is dark in colour ..

Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/3 cup sugar
3 tsp. orange zest
2 eggs, lightly beaten
3 Tbsp. thick cut orange marmalade ( I use Duerr’s )
2 Tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
OPTIONAL: For the topping: 2 Tbsp. marmalade, 2 Tbsp. freshly squeezed orange juice, 1 tsp. orange zest
