Australian White Christmas Recipe

Something Different For You-Australian White Christmas Recipe

This is a super simple recipe to make and it’s also an amazing dessert. When you get to the ingredients part of this recipe, you know that you’ll be making something fantastic. The spices will really elevate the taste and you’ll love that crunch when you bite into it. This recipe will make about 8-10 servings, enough for everyone.

Back in Australia, we don’t get to have a white Christmas like out northern cousins do, so I have to get a little creative. Today, I want to share this recipe with you all Australian mommies that want to bring that white Christmas spirit in your homes and serve this delicious treat for your families.

I reserve a little bit of the melted white chocolate to pour on top of the cookies but feel free if you want to add something of your own too. Coat in melted chocolate and when you bite into it, you’ll get this amazing taste, or maybe want to add candied fruits to sprinkle on top, no problem. Be a little creative and incorporate something that your family likes on every serving.

Ingredients for Australian White Christmas

1-pound white chocolate

1 cup dry coconut (desiccated)

1 1/2 cup rice crispy

3 1/2 ounces cherry

1/2 cup dried cranberries

1/2 cup cashew

1/2 cup macadamia nuts

1 teaspoon mixed spice

1/2 teaspoon ginger

How to Make Australian White Christmas

Prepare a baking tin and line with parchment paper. In a large bowl, melt your white chocolate. Add the rest of the ingredients to the melted chocolate bowl and mix to combine. Pour the white chocolate mixture into the baking tin and spread to even/level it. Put in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes to let it set. Once out of the refrigerator, the mixture should be firm. Take it out from the baking tin and using a sharp knife, cut into blocks. Serve and enjoy.
