I was asked if I could find a recipe for a Saunders Colonial Butter cream Cake or near to it as I could , so I managed to find this recipe that I think is as close to the real thing as I can get too I hope
I don’t know much about this cake but I think that it sound delicious as apparently the cake is made by using our classic yellow cake recipe and covered with traditional Sanders butter-cream icing then sprinkled with finely ground roasted pecans. A truly timeless dessert that can be enjoyed any time
