These creamy rainbow colored peppermint patties make a great homemade gift for your loved ones.

5 cups powdered sugar
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
3 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons vegetable shortening
1 teaspoon peppermint extract
16 ounces dipping chocolate
