Here’s what you’ll need to re-create these bright breakfast delights:
- 60g / 2oz butter, melted (I used salted butter, but you can use unsalted and just add a pinch of salt to this recipe)
- 340g / 12oz plain / all-purpose flour
- 3tsp / 4g or 1/8oz baking powder
- 30g / 1 oz superfine or caster sugar
- 11oz / 315g (ml) milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1tsp vanilla
- Optional – cinnamon or nutmeg (or both! to taste)
- Food colours – I used red, green, blue and yellow
- Non stick spray
- 5 x zip lock bags
- Whipping cream or vanilla ice cream
- Maple Syrup
- A waffle maker or waffle iron – (A round waffle maker works best for the rainbow effect, but any will do)
