If you love making candies, try making this amazing orange creamsicle fudge. I love the bright orange color with white swirls. It brings back childhood memories during summer days, where we enjoyed the coolness and sweetness that orange creamsicle bars bring, which inspired this recipe. I hope you have fun making it, either by yourself or with your kids.
Ingredients for Orange Creamsicle Fudge
3 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter
2/3 cup heavy cream
7 ounces marshmallow cream
1 (11 oz) package white chocolate chips
3 teaspoons orange extract
10 drops orange food coloring
How to Make Orange Creamsicle Fudge
In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and heavy cream. Cook over medium heat until it reaches a softball stage, which is about 235°F while continuously stirring. While boiling, cook and stir for another 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and then add marshmallow cream and white chocolate chips. Mix until chocolate chips melted, and the mixture is well-combined. Reserve 1 cup of the mixture and set aside.
Add food coloring and orange extract to the remaining mixture. Mix well and pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch glass dish. Gently pour the reserved white mixture over the orange one. Swirl a knife or skewer into the fudge, back and forth.
Put the fudge in the refrigerator for about 2 hours or until it sets. Cut into squares before serving. You can store them in an airtight container inside the fridge, which can last for a few weeks.
