It’s easy to recognize the Tinkerbell design, even without the blonde ponytail and sassy pout. The cupcake is frosted in green buttercream, then sprinkled with edible pixie dust and topped with fondant vines and Tink’s tiny green and white slippers. (Everything’s hand-rolled, by the way.) By all appearances, it seems like an awfully heavy cake-to-frosting ratio, but it wouldn’t be a Disney treat if the pastry chefs didn’t have a little trick up their sleeves: They carve an inverse cone out of the center of the cupcake, fill the hole with buttercream, then stack the cone right side up on top of the cake and frost over that. Turns out, Disney magic isn’t just in the movies.
