Ingredients
For cupcakes:
    • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla
    • 1 1/2 cups flour
    • 1 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries
For basil buttercream:
  • 1 cup fresh clean dry basil leaves, loosely packed
  • 3 cups powdered sugar, divided
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1-2 tablespoons whipping cream
