Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe

Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe

My brother gave me fresh strawberries, and because the weather is so hot, I decided to make homemade strawberry ice cream. This frozen treat is easy to make and needs three ingredients only.

I cut a few strawberries into small chunks because I like to chew bits of fruits, and they add texture to the creamy blend of this ice cream. I did not put any food color because personally, I want it to be more natural, but you can add a few drops if you prefer it.

Make sure to use a freezer safe container like a bread pan, but in my case, I used an old ice cream container. Before serving, you can also drizzle some chocolate syrup, but that is optional too.

Ingredients for Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream

1.10 lb fresh strawberries

3 cups heavy cream

1 ½ cups sweetened condensed milk

chocolate syrup (optional)

How to Make Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream

Get 15 pieces of strawberries and cut them into small chunks. If you want to decorate the top later, you can slice another few pieces too. Set aside. In a blender, puree all remaining strawberries and set it aside too.

Using an electric hand mixer, whip heavy cream and sweetened condensed milk in a large bowl. Add puree, but leave about three tablespoons of it, to be used for toppings later. Beat until just combined.

Transfer mixture into the ice cream container. Add the small chunks of strawberries and gently stir the mixture.

Pour the remaining three tablespoons of puree on top, and using a chopstick or toothpick, carefully swirl it.

Decorate the top with strawberry slices. Cover the container and freeze for about 6-8 hours. Before serving, drizzle some chocolate syrup.
