Hi Fellow Bakers

Room Temperature Ingredients …

When I was a child I knew when my Nan was going to bake as the ingredients would be on the side waiting I would think at the time it was there to let me know she was baking but of course it was not true …over the years of baking with my Nan she would explain why

At room temperature she would say the eggs, butter, and milk bond and form an emulsion that traps the  air and during the baking the air expands which  producing light, airy, evenly bakes.

I also learnt that Cake batters made with room temperature ingredients are smoother and more evenly incorporated. ingredient that has come from the fridge a cold place will not incorporate and evenly  bond which makes bakes dense like cookies, and makes bread more make rock-hard and  cake batters made with cold ingredients won’t come together smoothly….

So when you are thinking of baking remember to take out the ingredients before hand as you will see much better results …

Thanks Nan x
