Ingredients for Perfect Crème Caramel

½ cup granulated sugar
3 egg yolks
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 ½ cups whole milk
6 tablespoons heavy cream

How to Make Perfect Crème Caramel

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt ½ cup granulated sugar, until the amber color and caramel forms. Divide the whole caramel into three ramekins. Set aside to set.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together egg yolks, whole eggs, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar. Set aside.

In a saucepan over medium heat, heat up whole milk and pour through a fine sieve to avoid any lumps and foam. Whisk all together and pour the whole mixture divided into the three ramekins. In a large pot filled with a little bit of water place in all ramekins and cover the lid. Steam for about 25-30 minutes.

Remove the Crème Caramel from the pot and refrigerate until cold and firm. With the help of spatula loosen the sides of Crème Caramel from the ramekins and flip into a serving plate.

Enjoy!
